CBD seeds, the differences

Ever more cannabis types are developed that have specific medicinal properties. Also more and more people discover the wholesome properties of marijuana and cannabis seeds. Many people who decide to use medicinal marijuana never used marijuana before, or never produced marijuana before. Most important for this new group of medicinal users is that complaints are reduced. Recreational, social use of marijuana is another approach than finding the most suitable type that can bring the solution to your specific complaints.

THC and CBD
Some basic knowledge about the differences between Indica and Sativa strains is necessary to make the right choice. Cannabis contains more than 85 identified cannabinoids. Most well-known and studied cannabinoids are THC and CBD.

High levels of CBD
The industrial hemp hardly contains any THC and contains high levels of CBD. This hemp is being used to extract CBD for the production of CBD oil or Golyoli. Marijuana strains that have been developed for recreational use, often contain high percentages of THC and little or no CBD at all. Medicinally selected and developed strains do contain a lot of CBD next to THC. Often with ratios of 1-to-1, for example 6% CBD and 6% THC, is often the case. But there are also strains with different THC / CBD ratios. CBD reduces the psychoactive effects of THC. In other words: you won't get so stoned on it. Furthermore, CBD is the most important medicinal cannabinoid we know.

Anandamine
The human body has its own endo-cannabinoid system, a discovery made in the 90s. This endo-cannabinoid system looks extremely similar to the phyto-cannabinoid system from cannabis. The endo-cannabinoid system produces the neurotransmitter Anandamine, which means 'bliss'. Cannabinoids from cannabis start to interact with the human Anandamine, which results in a physiological reaction. Just like a pain stimulus or a shock reaction. Dosage, timing and the ratio THC / CBD are important for the final effects of medical marijuana.

Indica
Cannabis Indica give a calm, relaxing and stoned effect. Because the muscle tension is reduced, the body feels heavy. Indica strains are very effective for Muscle pains and spasms such as with MS and Parkinson disease. Also for chronic pain symptoms, rheumatism, arthritis, sleep disorders, anxiety and mood complaints often Indica strains are chosen.

Sativa
Cannabis Sativa strains provide a more 'high' effect, this can be felt both mentally as well as physically. Sativa strains are very effective against nausea, lack of appetite, headache, depression or pain symptoms. Sativa strains can relieve the side effects of chemotherapy and AIDS.

Hybrid
Sativa and Indica species have often been crossed to combine the best characteristics of both species. Most cannabis strains are hybrids, a part of that is Indica dominant and another part is Sativa dominant. This can give many advantages when both strains are suitable to relieve the symptom, such as with pain complaints.

Complaints and symptoms
During the day, other effects are often appreciated than in the night. The more high and cerebral effect of Sativa strains provides energy for during the day. In the evening, the relaxing effect of an Indica strain can help to provide relieve or to get asleep.

Indica or Sativa
The type of disease that causes the complaints is a good directive to choose between Indica and preferably a Sativa strain. After all, the symptoms that the user of medicinal marijuana wants to relieve, determines the choice of the most suitable strain. Do not forget that every person is different and unique, also the subjective experience can be different.

CBD
Cannabis strains with a high CBD content are normally more effective against pain and muscle spasms, such as in the case of Multiple Scleroses and the Parkinson disease. Cannabis strains with a lot of THC are normally preferred for diseases such as the Syndrome of Gilles de la Tourette and therapy resistant glaucoma. Complaints such as weight loss, nausea and vomiting can also be benefited by THC rich strains. For chronic nerve pains one often starts with CBD rich species. If pain reduction is unsatisfactorily, one can switch to a variety with a higher TCH or CBD content. The choice is very personal and obtained results by one person do not automatically mean that the same result can be obtained for your specific complaints.

Medicinal cannabis
Medicinal cannabis does not play a role yet in the healing of diseases or symptoms. Yet, it can relieve and prevent complaints. By using cannabis as a form of self-medication, it is possible that you can reduce other medication. Medicinal cannabis is often used when regular (normal) medication and treatments do not help sufficiently or come with too many side effects.
