In this privacy statement, Dutch-Headshop provides insight into the way in which data is collected, stored and protected. In addition, clarity is given about the retention periods and the processing of data. Dutch-Headshop strictly adheres to the legal requirements and thus creates a safe environment for every visitor of our website. We guarantee data protection for every Dutch-Headshop customer.

Article 1: Collecting personal information

1.1 Purchases

Purchases at Dutch-Headshop can be done with or without an account. If you make a purchase in our web shop, we collect personal information. To guide the buying and selling process in the right direction, the following personal data is collected:

  • First and last name
  • Street name and house number
  • Zip code and address
  • Date of birth
  • Country
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number
  • IP address

Dutch-Headshop of course needs this information for delivering the ordered products. In addition, we automatically receive the IP address of every visitor. This allows us to protect our online environment and also optimize your internet experience.

1.2 Targets of data collection

Dutch-Headshop has several reasons for collecting data from customers. Customer data is collected and stored for the following purposes:

  • To comply with the agreements between customers and Dutch-Headshop regarding the delivery of products
  • To create and manage your account at Dutch-Headshop
  • For providing good service to the customer
  • To be able to provide the customer warranty
  • To prevent fraude
  • To conduct market research and analysis

1.3 Newsletter

Dutch-Headshop informs its customers weekly about new products, offers and other updates. Dutch-Headshop does need permission for this. We only send the newsletter if you give permission for this. To send the newsletter we collect the following information:

  • First name
  • Sex
  • E-mail address

This information is needed to personalize the newsletter by name and gender. You can withdraw your permission at any moment. You can do this via the newsletter or the contact information that can be found in article 2.

1.4 Access data

Dutch-Headshop strives to offer her customers the best service. To offer maximum support, the departments of customer service and accounting have access to personal information.

Employees of these departments must adhere to the Discretion and confidentiality clause in the Dutch-Headshop House Rules.

Article 2: Permission

When you place an order, complete a transaction or return a purchase, we assume that you consent to the storage of your data for one of those specific reasons. When Dutch-Headshop asks for your personal information for other purposes, you will be asked for your explicit consent. Of course you also get the option to say no. In the unlikely event that you regret granting your permission, it is always possible to withdraw your consent. You can contact our Customer Service for this.

Article 3: Disclosure of data

In some special cases Dutch-Headshop has the right to make your data public. If you violate the Terms and Conditions we have the right to release your personal information. This also applies if the law obliges us to do so.

Article 4: Storage of data

Dutch-Headshop stores personal data for the above purposes only. Personal data is kept for 10 years so Dutch-Headshop can offer its customers support and service where necessary up to 10 years after purchase. Customers also have years of warranty on some products, which makes it necessary to store data for at least 10 years.

4.1 Account information

Account details of customers remain important as long as the customer has an account with Dutch-Headshop. The account details stay stored for as long as the account is active. When a customer decides to remove his or her account, the account details wil be removed from the system. Questions about stored personal information or managing your account can be sent to our Customer Service.

4.2 Newsletters

The permission of the newsletter and associated data is valid as long as our customers are registered for the newsletter. Our newsletter comes with an opt-out function. This means that customers withdraw their permission when they make use of this function. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click on the link. In the future you will no longer receive a newsletter from Dutch-Headshop.

Article 5: Cookies

Cookies provide your computer with information of previous visits to Dutch-Headshop. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit our website. In this way we can see that you have used our website before. In addition, the website is faster and the ease of use is greater.

Dutch-Headshop uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. Dutch-Headshop uses cookies with a pure technical functionality. These make sure the website works as intended and that for instance your preferred settings stay stored. These cookies are also used to make the website work well and to optimize it. In addition, we place cookies that keep track of your surfing behavior so that we can offer customized content. Dutch-headshop does not provide information to third parties which would compromise the customers privacy, unless there are legitimate reasons or is necessary for its services and / or registrations.

Dutch-Headshop uses services from third parties for transactions and the provision of our services. Third parties collect, use or process data only for the services they provide to Dutch-Headshop.

Some external service providers have their own privacy policy. Think of payment providers and logistics partners. Dutch-Headshop provides them information about purchase related transactions. However, these companies follow their own privacy policy. To find out how they handle your data, we recommend that you read their Privacy Policy carefully.

There are also companies that are located in a different jurisdiction or use other facilities. If you continue with a transaction involving a third party from another jurisdiction, you must take into account that your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which the relevant service provider resides.

If you leave our website or are referred to a website of a third party, the General Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy of Dutch-Headshop are no longer in force.

6.1 Active Ants

Dutch-Headshop provides information to Active Ants Fulfilment to make sure all orders of customers of Dutch-Headshop are processed correctly. Active Ants Fulfilment has years of experience in the field of business-to-consumer orders. The company specializes in the best handling of your orders. In all cases they ensure an accurate way of shipping and settlement. Dutch-Headshop has made a processor agreement with Active Ants about the processing of data.

6.2 Google Analytics

Dutch-Headshop works together with Google Analytics to collect the statistics from our website. This gives us a clear picture of among other things, the number of visitors on the website, the number of page views and the average time a visitor spends on the page. Dutch-Headshop has made a processor agreement with Google Analytics about the processing of data. In addition, Google has its own privacy policy and does everything in its power to secure and protect the data on its computer systems.

6.3 MailCampaigns

Dutch-Headshop works together with MailCampaigns and also provides the company with data. MailCampaigns easily processes all data and easily sets up automatic campaigns. MailCampaigns heals Dutch-Headshop, among other things, with the sending of the newsletter. Dutch-Headshop has made a processing agreement with MailCampaigns about the processing of data.

6.4 Zopim

Zopim provides the live chat on our website. This way visitors and customers can come into contact with customer service at any time to ask their questions. Dutch-Headshop shares data with Zopim to provide its customers the best service. Dutch-Headshop has made a processor agreement with Zopim about the processing of data.

6.5 Kiyoh

Dutch-Headshop is affiliated with Kiyoh. Kiyoh is the market leader in the Netherlands with thousands connected websites. Kiyoh collects customer reviews that are automatically processed and published on the web shop. Dutch-Headshop shares data with Kiyoh and has made a processor agreement with the company about processing data.

6.6 Pay.nl

Pay.nl is a payment method that Dutch-Headshop uses. With Pay.nl you can easily pay the order amount by means of an IDEAL payment. PAY.nl is free. It is the fastest payment method. Your order will be processed and shipped immediately on working days. Pay.nl processes a number of data during the payment. Dutch-Headshop has concluded a processing agreement with Pay.nl for this.

6.8 Sofort

Sofort is a payment method that Dutch-Headshop uses. With Sofort you easily pay your order amount by means of a bank transfer. Sofort Banking is the free-of-charge, ISO-certified payment service of Sofort AG.  It is the fastest method. Your order will, on working days, be shipped within 24 hours. Sofort processes a number of details during payment. Dutch-Headshop has made a processors agreement with Sofort for this.

6.10 Digistate

Digistate is a hosting company that keeps web shops, blogs and corporate websites up and running in an affordable and reliable way. In addition to the hosting of websites, Digistate helps companies with domain registration (nationally and internationally), E-mail and protection against hackers. To ensure that this runs smoothly, Dutch-Headshop shares data with Digistate. Dutch-Headshop has made a processors agreement for this with Digistate.

Article 7: Security

Dutch-Headshop takes the protection of your details seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact our customer service.

Magento is the database of Dutch-Headshop on which all customer details are stored. Our database well protected against unauthorized persons. Only employees of Dutch-Headshop have access to Magento via a login name and a unique password. The login names and passwords are different for each employee. These passwords consist of unique codes of capitalized and lowercased letters, numbers and punctuation marks. Our employees have specific access rights within the company. They only have access to the data and information that is needed to carry out their work.

Dutch-Headshop strives to anonymize as much data as possible. This data can therefore not be directly linked to a specific customer. They can however still be used for analysis. For the cooperation with third parties, it is important that these parties comply with the GDPR and are bound by a processing agreement.

Article 8: View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, modify or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your permission of the data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Dutch-Headshop and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we have at our disposal in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you. You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for cancellation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to our customer service.

To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is for protection of your privacy. We respond to your request as soon as possible, but at least within four weeks

Article 9: Changes to privacy policy

Dutch-Headshop reserves the right to change the privacy policy at any time. Changes will be immediately visible after placing on the website. If there are changes, Dutch-Headshop will communicate this and inform every one of the adjustments made.
