We test all vaporizers before including them in our collection. Just like you, we find it important that you get value for your money. We test for vapor quality, ease of use and how easy it is to maintain a vaporizer. Therefore we sometimes have to say no to a manufacturer. Fortunately, we know for sure that all our vaporizers meet your expectations. Also these cheaper models!

Buying a Vaporizer

When you are about to buy a vaporizer, you are faced with a number of questions. Above all, your budget is the binding factor. That's why we've drawn a very clear line for this category. Under €100 you'll find a great vaporizer! The question now is what kind of vaporizer you want. A convection vaporizer, conduction vaporizer or a vaporizer which you need to heat manually. And what do you actually want to vaporize with it? Keep reading and discover the differences.

Conduction or Convection Vaporizer?

You can heat using various techniques. If the heating source is in direct contact with the herb chamber or the concentrate, the substances evaporate by means of conductivity. Or with a more convenient word: conduction. Convection vaporizers allow hot air to flow past and through the contents of the vaporizer when you take a puff. There are various advantages and disadvantages of both vaporizers, but as a rule of thumb the most important differences are the heating time, purity of flavour and completeness of vaporization of the contents.

  • Convection vaporizers often give the purest taste. Especially with an insulated vapour channel.
  • Conduction vaporizers often have a shorter heat-up time than convection vaporizers, making your device ready for use faster.
  • There are also hybrid vaporizers that use both techniques. This allows them to heat up even faster, and the taste of the vapour is retained longer in subsequent sessions. However, these vaporizers are often more expensive. These vaporizers are mentioned in both categories.
  • The cheapest vaporizers use a simple statement: "No need for electric heating". Flame against it and go! Such a simple glass or metal vaporizer prevents the herbs from burning when you hold a lighter to it, but you have no control over the vaporizer temperature. You'll also find these vaporizers in the conduction category.

Weed, Concentrates or Hash?

What will you vaporize in your brand new vaporizer? Will it be weed, hash or will you go for the ultra-strong concentrates? Not all vaporizers are suitable for all three types of weed products. Therefore, choose a vaporizer which is suitable for what you intend to vape. Check out the product pages to see what each vaporizer under one hundred euros can vaporize, or take a look at these categories.

Electrical Vaporizer or not?

You don't necessarily have to buy an electric vaporizer to give up smoking weed. The idea is that you at least don't let the weed ignite. Clever designers have therefore chosen simple vaporizers that essentially consist of a heat-resistant glass ball with a pipe attached. If you heat this with a lighter (beware, use a blue flame to prevent burning), you prevent the weed from burning. There are also vaporizers that go a step further, but use the same principle. The advantage is that these vaporizers are very simple and you don't need a charged battery. It's often the cheapest way to switch to from smoking to vaping.

Vaporizer Temperature

However, for the sake of simplicity you are leaving out a piece of technology. The great advantage of an electric vaporizer is that you can adjust the temperature or at least the power. This way you know that the heat remains limited and only the desired substances evaporate. With weed, hash and concentrates these are of course the cannabinoids such as THC and CBD, but terpenes are also desirable. These volatile substances give weed and other herbs a wonderful smell, but also offer all kinds of benefits. Terpenes and cannabinoids have different evaporation temperatures. THC already evaporates at 157 degrees Celsius and CBD gradually evaporates around this temperature. Higher temperatures of around 200 degrees are desirable if you really want to get stoned. To sum up, if possible you want to be able to adjust the temperature on your vaporizer!
