What is CBN?

CBN stands for Cannabinol and is the first cannabinoid identified. Between 1940 and 1950, CBN played an important role in the discovery of the endocannabinoid system; the cluster of CB1 and CB2 receptors in your body that sensitizes you to a variety of bodily substances and substances from cannabis. 

Preliminary studies of CBN in weed show that it may play a role in normal sleep, normal digestion and relaxation. CBN is synthesized in hemp and weed as THC is exposed to oxygen and, to a lesser extent, (UV) light. THC then enters into a chemical reaction that causes it to oxidize to CBN.

CBN itself is not psychoactive or intoxicating. So you don't get tired, dizzy or stoned from CBN oil. It does affect the effect of THC in weed. If you were to take the oil along with a few drags of the proverbial peace pipe, the effect will be more physical (stoned) and you will get a strong desire to crawl under the covers. Aged weed also has this effect for this reason: it contains more CBN.

CBN oil is popular among people who meditate and when you could use inner peace.

Combining CBD- or CBG oil or weed

You can combine CBN oil with CBD oil or CBG oil for an entourage effect, where the substances seem to reinforce each other. If you take it combined with (strong) weed vaping or smoking, you can get wonderfully relaxing stoned!

Note: Take CBN oil under the tongue. Do not smoke or put it in the vaporizer.

CBN Oil Dosage & Use

The right dosage of CBN oil is different for everyone. Factors such as body weight and your needs play a big role in this. In any event, we recommend you start cautiously with 1 to 3 drops twice a day. This is a good initial dosage of CBN oil. You can then raise or lower the dosage as you wish. Tip: be sure to allow a couple of days leeway between each increase or decrease in the dosage. This will allow you to determine what the ideal amount for you is by listening well to your body.

You can take the drops of CBN oil by dripping them from the pipette bottle. Put the drops under your tongue and give them a few seconds to be absorbed before swallowing. If necessary, wash them down with a glass of water.
