In this blog, we show real results from different customers who have used the MiniGrow in totally different ways.
Grower 1: The do (almost) nothing method
Both beginner cannabis growers and those with years of experience opt for a simple grow without special techniques. They just water regularly, switch on the built-in grow lights – and let them grow! They often use a reliable fertilizer such as that from Plagron. The controlled environment inside the MiniGrow One does the rest. You’ll be surprised, but this straightforward method often produces impressive results with big, fat buds.
The grow above was done by Frits, the laziest grower we know :-) Frits grew our own Dutch-Headshop Purple Haze. The only thing he did was water the plant (which he sometimes even forgot). Sometimes the plant can grow too tall. That also happened to Frits because his plant stayed a little too long in the vegetative phase. A sativa-dominant strain like this haze also has the characteristic of continuing to grow even after switching to the flowering phase. The simplest solution, which Frits applied here, is to bend down the tops and secure them with a wire.
Frits’ yield was 80 grams of dried buds, not bad for a grow with almost no effort! And the potency of the weed? We happened to have it analyzed at an independent lab. Here are the results:
Grower 2: Making maximum use of space with ScrOG and LST
Do you have green fingers, or already more experience growing cannabis? Then you may choose to use more advanced growing techniques such as ScrOG and LST. Many MiniGrow One users do this easily with the included rack. For example, you can bend the stems of the plant through the rack. This ensures the buds grow evenly. Here is an example of Alexander’s LST grow with our Private Label White Widow. The result after drying? 57 grams of delicious buds.
The ScrOG method takes a little more work and requires constant maintenance throughout the grow. With the ScrOG method, you need to prune away the lower flower formation during the grow to make the plant as uniform as possible. The goal is to fill the entire rack with buds so they capture as much light as possible and make optimal use of the MiniGrow’s space. All that light ensures the plant puts its energy into developing flowers. In short: the plant will give you as much weed as possible. All the effort you put in is richly rewarded. The yield of an LST or ScrOG grow is quite high, often between 60-90 grams dried – a weight you would normally only expect outdoors or in large grow tents.
Grower 3: Create your own artwork or experiment!

The name of this method is Mainlining. A technique where you try with LST to distribute the growth points evenly.
This method may have given the plant a little more stress, but still resulted in 43 grams of delicious dried buds. The only thing holding you back is your imagination!
