Dream Herb from Africa
African Dream Root comes from a different plant then African Dream Herb. Silene capensis flowers beautifully and is found in the wilderness of South-Africa, were it is used by the native Xhosa as a stimulant for lively dreams and bountiful sleep.
Silene Capensis Effects
The roots of Silene capensis can improve your sleep quality, causing you to wake up rested. What Silene really is known for, is the possibility to induce lucid dreams. Yet this happens rarely by just making tea from a herb. However, Dutch-Headshop’s test panel did dream lively a few times after a cup of Silene tea. Dreaming lucidly is a matter of practice, but we are convinced that African Dream Root can help you with that.
If you always wanted to experience a trip, but have been fearful of the use of mushrooms, than you can also journey in your sleep. A lucid or clear dream is actually a dream where you are aware that you are dreaming. In the vernacular, it also means that the dream can be controlled. And that is achievable, with training and patience. So you are being chased in your dream? Just fly away. Or explore new worlds in a journey through space. You name it and you can dream it and take action. Dream herbs contain substances that can help you with that and help you to better recall your dreams.
The advantage of such a extraordinary journey in your sleep, is that there are no side effects. You sleep just as well and just as long. Dreams come during the normal REM-sleep. Dream herbs only help you to better recall your dreams and to easier gain control over them. You will not get high or stoned and you will not hallucinate from them. Dreaming lucidly is not dangerous or scary. These are safe, natural smart drugs for very specific purposes that have no or barely any effect if you are awake.
Preparation and Use
The wood-like dried root of Silene capensis can best be ground with a mortar. The finer you grind, the better the active substances can be absorbed. Mix half a teaspoon (about half a gram) of ground Dream Root, with half a mug of hot water. Stir it well, until a foamy substance arises. It takes a long time for the substances in Siline capensis to be absorbed. Drink the cup of tea, preferably before breakfast, for a couple of days.
Increase your chance of dreaming
Lay down in bed on your back, with your arms and legs free of your body and do not cross them. Close your eyes and look, as if, at the inside of your eyes. Observe the patterns and colors that you see. Imagine what you want to dream in as much detail as possible. Drop all worries of the waking world and keep thinking about your dream. When you feel that you are falling asleep you can turn to your side if that is more comfortable. Repeat for a few days (3 to 7) for even better results.
Keep a Dream Journal
Everybody dreams multiple times a night. When you think that you are not dreaming, that only means that you are having trouble remembering your dream. Lucidly dreaming you learn the fastest by keeping a dream journal. Write down everything you can remember from your dream in there. Do this immediately when you wake up, when your memory is still fresh. The next time you are going to bed, read it to see what you notice in the dream. Before you know it you will have control and can dream lucidly every night!
